The institute
The emblem of the Institute shows the initials MD, that is, Mater Dolorosa, the Mother of Sorrows, who, according to St Magdalene, “founded” the Institute. Charitas in Humilitate is the motto indicating the lifestyle for the members of the Institute. In fact, Magdalene says, “...I was determined that I would practise humility and charity in a special way. “
