Her journey

Magdalene of Canossa’s search for her vocation required a long journey of discernment before she realized the novelty of her specific call - an apostolic consecrated life for women. At the mature age of 34 she embraces God’s plan for her – to serve the Church and society in a new way of life. She gathers her first “little flock” -the companions- who, together with her, were to form the first community of the Daughters of Charity.
